Generally, the local police do not care that you are an illegal alien. If you were caught driving again without a license the following can happen. 1) You can either get a ticket or get arrested and released on a misdemeanor driving without a valid license. If its your first incident, you may be able to reduce the case to an infraction (non-criminal) and just pay a fine. 2) If you were caught during your probation period (usually 3 years on 1st dui, from date of conviction, not date of arrest) than you have a bigger problem because you will have an additional charge of probation violation which could add punishment from extra probation or in some cases jail for about 30 days.
As for ownership of the car by your friend, there is nothing criminal for him to worry about. However, if you were to get into an accident and it was your fault, he can get sued by the other party for damages because he is the owner of the car.
