아래의 내용이 일반 한인변호사 사무실에서 받는 공증을 의미하는지요?
싱가폴로 보내는 서류에 공증을 받아야 하는데 어떻게 해야할지?

: Besides Singapore Embassy, Notary Public is also acceptable.

We wish to highlight that a Notary Public (Penyaksi Awam) is a publicofficial who has the power in law to witness the signing of writtenstatement or certify the authenticity of documents and make them official.Usually, a Notary Public has in force a practising certificate as asolicitor / advocate / lawyer, depending on the legal system in thatcountry. If the solicitor / advocate / lawyer has been empowered the dutiesof a Notary Public and has a seal / stamp showing the official title ofNotary Public, documents witnessed or certified by him are acceptable.

You may wish to refer to your local phone directory or local legal servicesdepartment for the list of Notary Public(s) to approach for thecertification of your documents. Alternatively, for the nearest SingaporeHigh Commission, please refer to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs'(Singapore) web site at www.mfa.gov.sg."

공증은 그 공증을 요하는 나라마다 미국 내에서 가능한 경우가 있고, 가능하지 않은 경우가 있는데요. 작성하신 글은 미국내에서 공증이 가능한 경우입니다.
