It is impossible to answer because I am not sure whether how your invested your money, if the "bank" you invested the money is in fact a bank and not a "credit union."
Usually, if one invests money and the venture goes sour, the investor loses the money and thats it. With investments in banks, it may work differently. I would need much more detailed information to answer your question. Sorry.
