“일반적으로 서류들을 언제까지 보관 해야 되는지 알려 주세요?또한 세금 보고한 서류는 어떠한지요?”------>In general, it is best to keep tax returns for three years after filing them. This can help you in completing future returns and making amendments. You may even need them for filing your state and local tax returns as well. The IRS keeps copies of your return for six years, but having your own can be easier.ALSO, you may need to keep copies of associated schedules and related documents, such as receipts. Also keep copies of W-2s, 1099s and similar forms, as well as canceled checks that directly relate to entries on your tax return and medical bills. It's a misconception that you're safe from IRS investigations once three years have passed. In certain situations, the IRS can still investigate your return and collect taxes owed for six years after a return. For example, if you failed to report income that amounts to more than a quarter of your total income, you may need your tax records for longer. According to the IRS, you should keep employment tax records for four years. If you file your taxes and then later file to receive a return or ask for a credit, you'll need to keep your original return and records for at least three years. Keep your returns and records for at least seven years if you took a deduction for bad debts or reported a loss from securities that had no value.
