국토 안보국에서 추방 유예조치 개요 발표


USCIS to begin accepting requests for consideration of deferred action on August 15, 2012

이민국에서는 추방 유예조치 신청서를 8월 15일부터 접수하기로 하였습니다.


WASHINGTON—The Department of Homeland Security today provided additional information on the deferred action for childhood arrivals process during a national media call in preparation for the August 15 implementation date.

국토안보국에서는8월 15일 시행될 추방 유예에 대하여 추가적인 정보를 8월 3일 국가 미디어 콜(media call)을 통하여 제공 하였습니다.


On June 15, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano announced that certain young people who came to the United States as children and meet other key guidelines may be eligible, on a case-by-case basis, to receive deferred action. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is finalizing a process by which potentially eligible individuals may request consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals.

6월 15일, 국토안보부 장관 자넷 나포리타노는 "어려서 미국에 입국한 젊은사람이 일정한 기준에 맞으면, 신청서 마다(a case-by-case basis) 별도로 검토하여 할 것이다" 라고 발표 하였다. 미국 이민국(USCIS)는 어느 자격이 되는 개인들이 추방 유예신청을 하는 프로세스를 현재 마무리 하고 있습니다.


USCIS expects to make all forms, instructions, and additional information relevant to the deferred action for childhood arrivals process available on August 15, 2012. USCIS will then immediately begin accepting requests for consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals.

이민국은 추방 유예와 관련하여 모든 양식과, 지시사항과 추가 정보를 8월 15일에 할 수 있으리라 기대하고 있습니다. 이민국은 그때 즉시 추방 유예 서류를 접수 받을수 있을 것입니다.


Information shared during today’s call includes the following highlights:
오늘 미디어 콜에서 중점이된 정보는 다음과 같습니다.


• Requestors – those in removal proceedings, those with final orders, and those who have never been in removal proceedings – will be able to affirmatively request consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals with USCIS.
• 신청인- 추방재판중이거나, 최종 판결을 받은 사람이나, 그리고 추방재판을 받지 않은 사람 모두 추방 유예신청을 이민국에 할수 있을것 입니다.


• Requestors will use a form developed for this specific purpose.
• 신청인은 이러한 목적으로 만든 양식(form)을 사용할 것이다.


• Requestors will mail their deferred action request together with an application for an employment authorization document and all applicable fees to the USCIS lockbox.
• 신청인은 노동허가신청서와 인지세를 함께 이민국 락박스에 우편으로 보내야 합니다.


• All requestors must provide biometrics and undergo background checks.
• 모든 신청인은 생체정보와 배경점검을 해야 합니다.


• Fee waivers cannot be requested for the application for employment authorization and biometric collection. However, fee exemptions will be available in limited circumstances.
• 노동 허가와 생체정보에 대한 인지세 면제는 허용되지 않습니다. 그러나 제한적인 환경에서 인지세 면제는 허용될 것입니다.


• The four USCIS Service Centers will review requests.
• 4곳의 이민국에서 신청서를 검토할 것 입니다.


Additional information regarding the Secretary’s June 15 announcement will be made available on www.uscis.gov on August 15, 2012. It is important to note that this process is not yet in effect and individuals who believe they meet the guidelines of this new process should not request consideration of deferred action before August 15, 2012. Requests submitted before August 15, 2012 will be rejected. Individuals who believe they are eligible should be aware of immigration scams. Unauthorized practitioners of immigration law may try to take advantage of you by charging a fee to submit forms to USCIS on your behalf.
