ALL STATE BOARD OF PHARMACIES IN THE US REQUIRE YOU BEING A GRADUATE OF US ACCREDITED PHARMACY SHOOLS (6 YEARS MINIMUM) OR EQUIVALENT FOREIGN PHARMACY SCHOOLS (as defined by each state board of pharmacy). Graduates with chemistry degrees do not qualify for application.
Nowadays, US pharmacy education is much more focused in clinical sciences for direct patient care rather than in chemistry (the way it used to be in old days in Korea). Recently, US pharmacy schools' curriculum have changed and all US pharmacy school graduates now have Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D) degree and thet are also required to undergo internship prior to applying for the licensing examinations in each state.
